WIW Interview with Michelle McGrattan, Certified Nutrition Coach & Barre Instructor

Can you tell us more about yourself and share your journey to wellness?

I am certified Nutrition Coach, Barre Instructor, mama and fur mama. Fitness and health have been a part of my life from a young age with competitive dance, varsity soccer. I landed my dream job for a fitness publication, was the advertising director and health/nutrition writer. I then became involved in the fitness competition world, and in the midst obtained my Nutrition cert. I started my own coaching biz and haven't looked back!

When it comes to health and wellness, tell us more about the important work you're doing?

I teach my clients how to un-diet, to think of food as fuel, the importance of macronutrients and micronutrients, how to nourish the body and mind to ultimately change their life and the way they look at food!

Can you share the most interesting story that has happened to you along the way?

When I got asked to be a guest speaker for ACE last year - I was literally blown away. It was such an honour to share my story and journey withy the most incredible women!

Wellness can mean so many different things to so many different people, what does it mean to you?

Wellness to me means the mind, body and soul connection.

Can you share your top 3 wellness hacks that you believe will support people's journey towards happiness and greater well being?

  1. Ditch the diet and the scale
  2. Create new positive habits daily
  3. Surround yourself with like minded individuals
